What You’ll Be Doing:
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, Method Data Sheets (MDS), and guidance information.
- Conducting electrical testing on a variety of systems, including 12v, 24v, 110v, 240v, and 440v.
- Executing various crimping techniques and performing soldering as required.
- Carrying out electrical installations, maintenance, and defect rectifications in line with project schedules to ensure customer quality standards are met.
- Installing, testing, and maintaining communications equipment such as VHF radios, intercoms, GPS, and AIS systems.
- Performing fault diagnosis and defect rectifications on electrical systems.
- Conducting detailed inspections and being proficient in using various measurement tools.
- Utilising calibrating measurement equipment to ensure accurate system functionality.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Completed an appropriate trade apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g., naval, electrical).
- A clear understanding of electrical installation drawings.
- Awareness of Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) risks and how to mitigate them.
- Familiarity with various manufacturing processes.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and/or at heights.
- Possession of relevant safety certifications such as SHE Induction, COSHH Awareness, and Working at Height.
- Experience in the marine, offshore, construction, or manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
